in Provence

I painted the chateau in Provence then stitched it by machine, free motion style
after surrounding with textiles that fit my idea, I added collage fabrics and embroidery
Shapes were cut from prints and added and the whole thing mounted as a picture
It is now sold

Le Chateau Toulouse

I must say I am constantly working on this kind of art and truly love exploring lots of ideas
Currently have, about 4 in my attic studio ready to be completed

Attic pouch

bunch of vintage tags
I made the lace collage bag for a customer
then filled it with my vintage tags
some I embroidered others were just old lace pieces
the pouch is great to use as a coin purse
Maybe to give to a bride with funds inside

My daughter and family were evacuated for 6 mths after the Houston flood
Back now trying to rebuild, so I painted her a picture for her new kitchen wall
She has changed her style from Country to Farmhouse
I like the way she framed it

French and fab.

made a sachet with of course French lavender
It is for a bedside table or guest room I think.
I used antique  linen from France and
a tatted doily for the decoration
tied in a pretty ribbon with rosebuds
